Pros and cons of Procreate Pocket app for iPhone and iPad

Procreate Pocket app good for

Its good I can draw and write pretty good......But you need to add more brushes
Ive been using this app for a long time now. Its really awesome and all you can actually do on the pocket version. Im still waiting on the straight line update. Other than that, one of the best drawing apps for the iPhone ;)
The only app Ive ever actually bought and it is definitely worth it. Also the first review Ive ever written. As a hobbyist digital painter, procreate is near perfect. I would give it a whole 5 stars except for one issue- when exporting recorded videos online, the quality of the video and of the finished painting is greatly reduced. Also, one suggestion I would like to make is to add the option of saving color palettes and importing custom color palettes. ✨
For iPad and iPhone, this is definitely the best drawing app out there. When you first start out, its tricky, but you have to keep practicing. Ive been using it for five months and have managed to create great, detailed things. Some of the most helpful tools are things like select then transform where you can resize a portion of your drawing, alpha lock, you can recolor an entire later that way, and the numerous blend modes and color editors. Also, the video playback which is super useful if you Upload videos to YouTube. The only thing I wish it had would be a ruler/ symmetry tool and of course a MacBook version, but as of now its a beautiful and incredible useful app. I definitely recommend for artists or photo editors any age.
I was actually surprised of all the functions and how everything was very organized and simple to use... You can accomplish great drawings with this app if you have passions and get used to the app ... Best drawing app you will ever find for your phone guarantee.
I think its the best drawing app in the AppStore. Very clean, intuitive interface and all the tools work very well.

Some bad moments

I have a jot touch 4...I dont like to finger paint, have a iPhone 6 and I would like to have pressure sensitive to supported for my stylus... Most of all the other drawing apps for iPhone support jot touch or other stylus why not you???
Do not buy this app if you are looking to create precise images. In my free time I like to draw chibi and cartoon/manga art on paper and transfer the image digitally, however this app is absolutely ridiculous. Everything is based off a grid and you can not draw a singular straight line to safe your life, at least not all in the same color. Its basically impossible to outline ANYTHING and its so so so frustrating. The stupid app also picks up original colors as well on new layers, like for instance say you are tracing an image that you made before and this time youd like the character to have blonde hair instead of black well good freaking luck, the app picks up the original hair color and presto, your hair is now brown even when the color clearly says you are using yellow.. As for outlining, I spent three hours straight on this app just to realize that the black lining of my character was grey or even dark brown in some spots and almost impossible to outline anything tiny without getting at least three grid block colored in as well. You have to tap each individual square to get the color darker. All my eyes look like they have crazy amounts of eyeliner and its just bs. Im so sad. Please do not buy this app unless everything you do is by freehand. You are better off using the free paint program on a laptop.
I just purchased this app because i have the original procreate on my iPad but this app just will not open every time i click on the application it immediately crashes...please look into this as i would like to get painting!
I enjoy this app but REALLY frustrated that I cant import more than one brush at a time! Its so tedious downloading brushes and having to import them one at a time. Also, why wouldnt Procreate allow .abr files when its the most common? Makes 0 sense for Procreate to expect us to go through a millions steps to create a brush file we already have. Say theres 10 brushes in your .abr file, Procreate makes you download another app (ABR Viewer), save each individual brush to your camera roll, then create a different brush in the Procreate app one at a time. I find myself going crazy because of this!!! As far as the other features go, it has some good texture brushes but the interface is very elementary. Its missing several minor things that you get in many other drawing apps.
Great app with one major problem: you cant save your drawing to photo album.
Just upgraded from the iPhone 5 to 6s. Thought with the bigger screen I could draw better on the go. One. I already purchased the procreate app so having to pay again for a lack of better term "lite" version of it was kind of annoying. But thats not the main annoyance. With the current version I cant access layers I cant change layer blend modes I cant draw with a Bluetooth stylus. The app seems to crash. Hopefully this can all be fixed soon. But even so Im deleting this app. Its trash going back to my iPad procreate version. Waste of money
